Housing of our Bengal Queens, Bengal Studs and Bengal Kittens

Kittens are born in bedrooms
Our queens give birth in bedrooms where we are on hand all night, the slightest noise and we are awake checking on them. We also check them regularly during the day, although they see to like to have their kittens when we are with them in the quiet of the night.

The kittens start to move in and out of the safety of their birthing box. Therefore inside the cage they are still safe when people visit or tidying up is to be done. Their mother can take exercise and come and see us for a cuddle. She's always on hand for her kittens when they need her. At night we can close the cage doors in the knowledge that all the kittens are tucked up safe with their mum for the night. It's so easy for us to handle and enjoy socialising our kittens when they are so close to hand.

Take a look into a kitten room shown in the photo on your right, where you can see one of our mothers with her kittens. This is where our Queens teach their kittens their good manners and cleanliness. They can learn whilst they run freely and play. People can come and watch them play getting up to their usual bengal mischief without danger. This is where we have our cat webcam.

		The safety area of our bengal house, where our queens take their daily exercise. We often put our cats and kittens out here for viewing and meeting visitors, as our home can't cope with the traffic of people. Every outside housing is fully heated and insulated.

	In the photo on the left you can see the safety area leading to the exercise areas. The photos on the right show the exercise areas which lead to heated sleeping areas, accessed by door and cat flap.

Shown here is one of cat houses. There is a connecting door and cat flap inside so that a visiting queen can be kept separate, but in view of our boy, until she is ready for her daily visits. All bedrooms are fully heated.
