We have tried to answer some of your questions below, but if you have any other queries then please do ask as we always try to help.

Question:

My Cat is elderly with no teeth, and may need help with eating and keeping warm, will he be Ok in a cattery?

Answer:

We are happy to assist cats with their meals, and feed at more frequent intervals as required for some elderly cats. All our pens have heated bedrooms and we are happy to put extra bedding in of your choice providing it is machine washable. Some elderly cats arn't able to cope with ramps etc so we have pens that are on one level available, or pens with just one step out into the fresh air.

Question:

What happens to my cat if we get stranded abroad and can't get back to collect our cat/cats at the arranged time?

Answer:

Your cat will stay in a chalet suitable for his age and requirements. We will try to keep him in the same pen, although we may have to move him if someone else has booked that particular pen for their cats holiday. Even if we were fully booked in our boarding cattery, we would then take your cat into our home to look after him and make his stay with us a happy one.

Question:

My Cat sometimes appears to hate strangers and tries to bite the vet when we take him for his vaccinations, will he still get lots of attention and company whilst he is in the cattery because he doesn't really mean it?

Answer:

We are happy to accommodate cats with their individual needs and preferences, and we are not upset by a cat growling or hissing at us. We rely on you letting us know your cats preferences so that we can make his stay with us a happy one.

Question:

My Cat is on medication, can i bring this for you to administer?

Answer:

Yes, we are happy to ensure that your cat has his/her medication on time every day.

Question:

My Cat has had an accident and needs a chalet where everything is on the same level, is this possible.

Answer:

If your cat is either recovering from an accident or is blind or partially sighted we are happy to make sure they are given a chalet on one level, and with blind cats we will ensure that they have some walking area that is always totally clear of litter box or food/water dishes. We will ensure that blind cats have the same style chalet, set out in the same way every time they come so that they gain confidence as each day goes by, and every time they stay with us.

Question:

Can i bring my cats own food in with him/her?

Answer:

Yes, we will feed your cat/kitten his/her own food which you are welcome to bring with you.

Question:

Can my cat bring his toys with him?

Answer:
Although there are branches and shelves in our cat chalets you are welcome to bring with you some toys or their favourite bed or blanket etc. but this is at the owners risk, and these must be machine washable as we may have to wash them. It is also your responsibility to ensure that you take them home with you when you collect your cat.

Please do NOT give your kitten anything small enough to swallow.

Please do NOT give your kitten wool or thread to play with. They can eat it, and it can become wound round in their stomachs, and can result in an operation to remove it.

Question:
What sort of bedding do you provide for our cat or kitten?
Answer:
We have tried numerous types of beds and bedding, and we do have a selection. Although we usually provide vet bedding inside a cleanable oval cat bed. You are welcome to bring your own at your risk, providing it is machine washable incase your cat or kitten decides to take his food into it for a midnight snack.
